Your Booking

The details

Bookings and Payment

Your chosen booking dates will be held upon payment of a 30%
deposit, (or payment in full). Any booking made less than six weeks in advance of your check in date, must be paid for in full. On receipt of a deposit or full payment, a booking confirmation will be sent to you within 24 hours, containing the details of your stay, payment received and payment due.

Please notify us, as soon as possible if you do not receive your booking confirmation within the specified time. Where a deposit has been paid, the full balance payment will be due six weeks before your check in date.

If your balance has not been paid before the stated due date, we will attempt to contact you. However, if your balance is not fully paid, we reserve the right to treat your booking as a cancellation (see cancellations section). Payments can only be made by either debit or credit cards.

Check-in & Check-out Times

Check-in is at 3pm and check-out is at 11am.

Arrival & Departure Times

Arrival time is between 3pm and 8pm. Please call us if you think you may arrive later so that we can make suitable arrangements. On departure day, please vacate your Dome by 11am.

If we want to Change your Booking (our right to evict)

Dome from Home reserves the right to cancel a holiday at short notice if we are unable to provide safe accommodation or environment, due to extreme weather conditions, ill health, fire, flooding or any other extenuating circumstances beyond our control. Under such circumstances, your full payment will be returned to you.

Dome from Home cannot accept liability or responsibility for any loss, including consequential loss, caused by cancellation.

Group Booking
The maximum occupancy for each Dome is 5. For the purposes of occupancy limits, a child over the age of 2 is considered an occupant.
Adult Group Bookings
We reserve the right to refuse group bookings if we feel that this may be of detriment to other guests staying at Dome from Home.
Cancellation

We understand that unforeseen events occur and that plans can change. If you need to cancel your stay, please let us know as soon as possible and we will endeavour to work with you to resolve the situation.

  • Should you cancel more than six weeks before your intended stay, we will refund any monies paid, minus a 10% admin fee.
  • Should you cancel within the six weeks we will try to re-let your dome and if successful we will refund you, minus a 10% admin fee.

If this is not possible, then we regret that no monies can be refunded.

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your booking, we will refund all monies that you have paid to us, within 7 days of us, notifying you.

We highly recommend that you have appropriate holiday insurance covering you for accidents, illness, bereavement, transport difficulties and extreme weather conditions.

Dome from Home can only accept a booking from persons over 18 years of age, and reserves the right, always, without statement of reasons, to refuse a booking.

When you submit a booking via our online booking system you will receive an auto generated booking summary by email to the email address you provide on your booking form.

This does not form a contract between us. A contract shall only arise when your booking is subsequently confirmed in writing via a letter of confirmation sent to you by post or email.

Dome from Home is predominantly a family-friendly and couples’ site. However, if you are interested in making an all-adult group booking, please contact us before making the booking, to avoid any disappointment. If we can accommodate you, we will do our best to do so.

Children
Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults are responsible for children’s behaviours at all times when on the site and children should be appropriately supervised when using facilities such as the hot tubs and BBQs.

Visitor Standards & Behaviour

What we expect

Fire Exits

Fire exits are through zip doors and windows.

BBQs

Each Dome has an OFYR BBQ situated on the decking area. Disposable BBQs, candles, fireworks and Chinese lanterns are not permitted at Dome from Home.

Access Restrictions

There is a natural pond and a beehive on the glamping site. Both are enclosed by fences and access within the fences is prohibited. Please always keep children under close supervision when approaching this area.

Damage to the Accommodation or its Contents

If you discover anything is missing or damaged on arrival at your Dome, please notify us immediately. If you do not notify us, we will assume that you caused the relevant damage or loss.

You will be responsible for the cost of any damage to the Dome, or its contents caused by you or by any member of your party.

Property Loss
Dome from Home cannot be held responsible for any lost or stolen property. We would suggest all valuables are locked away safely, for example in your car.
Recycling & Rubbish
All rubbish must be recycled. Please separate glass, tins, plastic, paper, cardboard and place them in the designated bins. What is left, i.e. only items that are not recyclable, can be placed in the landfill bin.
Dogs

We have a lot of wildlife on site and therefore restrict dogs to one dome only – Butterfly. In Butterfly dome you can book up to two, well-behaved dogs, at £25 per stay (for 1 or 2 dogs). This is to cover extra cleaning costs.

Dogs must be attached to the long tethers provided or on leads at all times, when outside the dome.

Please use the doggy poop bags provided, to clean up after your dogs. Dispose of bagged dog waste in the ‘general waste’ bin, at the side of your dome.

Please use the ‘Mud Daddy’ provided, if your dog has become muddy from being outside, before allowing it back in the dome.

We want your dog to have a good time too, so please don’t leave them unsupervised in the dome, especially on a hot day.

Please note that you will be liable for any damage or additional cleaning costs caused by you dog.

If you have a Problem or Complaint

We take care to ensure that our accommodation and site is of a very high standard. However, if you have any problems with the accommodation or site, please contact us immediately and give us the opportunity to resolve it.

Force Majeure

Force majeure on the side of Dome from Home exists if the implementation of the agreement is entirely or partially, temporarily or permanently, prevented due to circumstances which are beyond the control of Dome from Home including threat of war, staff strikes, blockades, fire, floods, health pandemics and other disruptions or events.

Hot Tubs

Hot tubs are available as an optional extra. Please read the
‘Dos’ and Don’ts’ at each hot tub site. We fill your hot tubs with clean fresh water for each visit and use a chlorine tablet to ensure it stays fresh throughout your stay (please let us know if you’d prefer us not to add the chlorine). We can light the hot tub stove, so it’s nice and warm for your arrival.

WI-FI

Wi-Fi access is available. Please note that due to our location, Wi-Fi access through 4G is limited.

Smoking and e-cigarettes are not permitted within the Domes or on the decking area.
