You can escape from the interruptions of modern life; enjoy ample scenic walks, cycle rides or visit our local market towns of Lutterworth or Market Harborough, both a short drive away. Whether you want to chill and relax or be more adventurous, there is something for everyone.

Mini Meadows Children’s Farm (1.8 miles)
A lovely farm park, nestled in 12 acres of rolling countryside in the village of Welford. Mini Meadows Farm provides a fun, educational and great value family day out for adults and children alike, whatever the weather.
Avalanche Adventure (4.5 miles)
With activities including quad bike safari, off road driving, clay pigeon shooting, gemini off road racing buggies and archery. You choose your adventure.
Armourgeddon (5.5 miles)
The home of tank paintball!! Experience the fun and excitement of driving tanks and other military vehicles over courses set around a World War II bombing range. Armourgeddon offers a museum, tank driving experiences as well as tank paintball.
Kilworth Springs Golf Club (4.1 Miles)
An 18 hole golf course overlooking the beautiful Avon valley in South Leicestershire, all aspects of the golf course are open to the public, for a social game of golf, a drink or a bar meal.
Coton Manor Gardens (5.7 Miles)
A 17th century manor house set within 10 acres of garden. Enjoy homemade lunches or afternoon tea at the Stableyard Cafe.
Naseby, Northamptonsire
A bit of history
We are based in Naseby, situated on one of the highest parts of the Northamptonshire Uplands, close to the county border with Leicestershire.
Arguably the most important battle in the history of England took place in the rolling countryside surrounding our site. The Battle of Naseby on 14 June 1645 was a pivotal victory for the New Model Army commanded by Fairfax and Oliver Cromwell. It determined the fate of King Charles I and his Royalist army. As a consequence, Naseby can lay claim to be the birthplace of Western Democracy. The battlefield remains largely as it would have appeared to the over 20,000 soldiers who fought there. It is well served by walks and information posts. Tours are available through the Naseby Battlefield Project.

Iconic Foxton Locks (8.2 miles)
Britain’s longest set of staircase locks. Watch boats travel up or down the locks or take a boat trip yourself, before relaxing at one of the pubs or picnic spots. There are walks and trails and wildlife spotting, including its famous pond dipping.
Althorpe Estate (15 miles)
Home to the Spencer family since 1508. Charles Spencer, brother of the late Princess Diana, is currently in charge of the 500-year-old estate. Enjoy visiting the house and gardens of this unique home.
Heart of the Shires Shopping Village (16 miles)
Individual, independent retailers with real character and shopping without the stress, set around a Victorian courtyard, with large café area. Open seven days a week from 10am until 5pm.
Pitsford Reservoir & Brixworth Country Park (8.7 miles)
Which includes a cafe, playground area and zip wire for children to enjoy. Cycle hire available for the seven mile circuit, sailing and trout fishing available to the public.
National Space Centre (28 Miles)
An out of this world experience, boasting the UK’s largest planetarium, six interactive galleries and the iconic 42m high rocket tower. Cafe and shop on site. Booking in advance is essential.

Built on the order of William the Conqueror, and has welcomed many Kings and Queens over the years. Today you can take a castle tour, enjoy the 18 acres of garden, and take refreshments at Walkers House Tea Room. Look out for the one-day events!

Exercise for body and mind. Enjoy a visit to Leicestershire’s best visitor attraction, a giant living maze set in 8 acres of living maize and sunflower crop. Enjoy 3 miles of paths, following a quiz trail, with high level bridges and viewing towers. Open mid July – mid September. Check website, as closed in poor weather conditions.

Holdenby House (10.6 miles)
A Royal Palace with a distinguished history, built in 1583. See where Charles 1 was held after his defeat in the Civil War in 1647.
